On April 13, 2017, Just A Smile, a Club based in the Ghana Institute of Journalism reached out to the Teshie Children’s Home in Accra to donate to the kids stationery, food items and clothes. Led by Animah Jacqueline, members of the club, including myself had the opportunity to interact with the kids. Also present at Teshie for the exercise were; Charlotte Nettey, Emmanuel Asare, Abigail Amoah, John Kofi Badu, Suleman Rukaya, Theophilus Akafari, Nii Okai-Martey David, Akosua Boatemaa, and Priscilla Assuming Owusua among others. We encouraged them not give up but work hard to make it in life. The donation exercise was successful and I was glad to be part of it. Below are some photos;

The 2016/2017 Level 100C class at the Ghana Institute of Journalism was tasked by their Creative Writing Lecturer, Mr. David Apawu, to creatively write and publish story books and/or poems. These books were later donated to the Mamprobi Cluster of Schools in Accra on April 13, 2017. The idea of this exercise was to imbibe in students, the culture of reading and writing at all times since it has several benefits attached. I was privileged to have contributed my quota in making the activity a successful one. Characterised with joy and hard-work, the class was able to engage students at Mamprobi Cluster of Schools with reading and dance competition, spelling competition, and much more.
