CAB Ghana celebrates boxing day with a Clean-up exercise at Jamestown

Clean And Beautiful Ghana, an organisational initiative from Miss Freda Astanga, 1st Runner-Up of Face of GIJ '18 has successfully organized clean-up exercise at the Jamestown Beach Market on December 26, 2018. The seemingly important activity attracted a lot of volunteers from the nation's capital, which included [some] students from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Aside the clean-up exercise, a donation was made to the Jamestown Beach Community to enable them have 'a feel' of the Christmas Festivity while they maintain a clean environment. Items donated included hampers of toiletries, washing soaps and detergents. Explaining the ideal behind this activity, Felix Kwaku-Dua who acts as the Deputy-CEO for CAB Ghana highlighted the need for Ghanaians to maintain a healthy and clean society at all cost. I volunteered for CAB Ghana during a clean up exercise at Jamestown Market on December 26, 2018. The activity was organised by the initiative of the 2018/2019 Face of GIJ’s 1st Runner-Up, Miss Freda Astanga. Apostle’s Continuation Church International at Odorkor supports Royal Seed Orphanage

The Odorkor Youth Ministry of the Apostle's Continuation Church International has donated [some] valuable items to the Royal Seed Home located at Kow Bondzi, a rural suburb near Kasoa in the Central Region of Ghana. The exercise which took place today at the latter's premises formed part of the church's commitment in giving back to the society. Led by Esther Appiah who is the Youth Organiser, items ranging from Foodstuff, Detergents, Sanitaries, Clothes and foot wears were donated to the Orphanage. The group cited instances of how students at the Tertiary face challenges during their stay on campus. Therefore, it becomes necessary and advisable enough to reach out to such people with effective counselling and support. Maame Twebah from GIJ crowned Miss KKB 2018

Priscilla Maame Twebah Aikins from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) has won the maiden edition of Miss KKB held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Neighborhood Centre in Mamprobi, Accra. Organised by KKB Concepts, the event brought together eight (8) finalists who were tasked to showcase their mastery in Talent, Communication and Arts after series of projects executed from previous weeks. The well attended show was met with thrilling moments and performances from guest artistes and dancers. Annabella Ohene Djan from GIJ also passed through with a powerful motivational message which got everyone in the room applauding. Meanwhile, Queen Kakraba and Gifty Ceaser were the 1st and 2nd Runner-Up respectively. From the Male's category, Nyanteh Paa Kwesi came 1st as Mr. KKB with Atornawo Yaw Vincent placing 2nd.
